Learn From the Masters
This four-class mixed media experience invites you to create art inspired by four influential artists: Wassily Kandinsky, George Seurat, Andy Warhol, and Georgia O’Keeffe.
The first class of Learn From the Masters program focuses on abstract pastel drawings inspired by music, following the ideas of Wassily Kandinsky. In the second class, students will use fine tip markers to create pointillist drawings based on the techniques of George Seurat. The third class explores colour theory through bold and vibrant pop art portraits inspired by Andy Warhol. The series finishes with soft and expressive watercolour landscapes and floral studies, drawing inspiration from the work of Georgia O’Keeffe. You will be encouraged to develop your own artistic voice while learning to express mood, movement and form through a variety of expressive materials and techniques. All levels are welcome in Learn From the Masters.
