HOMESCHOOL PRIVATE ART SERIES – Spring 2026

Day: Thursdays 

Time: 11:30 am to 1 pm (1.5 hours per class)  

Series Fee: $156.00 per child for 12 classes 

Series Duration: April, May and June 2026  

(Parents may be asked to stay and assist ages 5-7)

Please note: The first class, on Thursday, April 9th, will take place at the Art Gallery of St. Albert, located at 19 Perron Street. All other class dates will take place at the Pottery Studios inside of St. Albert Place

APRIL: AMAZING PAPER!  

  • April 9: Paper Making -  Learn how to make your own fun paper sheets using recycled paper pulp!
  • April 16: Paper Marbling -  Swirl coloured ink on top of water and add paper on top to absorb amazing abstract images!
  • April 23: Paper Weaving - Use a variety of different papers and create a unique 2D paper weaving or 3D basket.
  • April 30: Paper Sculptures - Learn to fold, cut and glue paper into interesting three-dimensional sculptures. 

 

MAY: MONSTER MADNESS!

  • May 7: Needle Felted 2D Monsters -  Design a cute or scary monster using 2D needle felting techniques.
  • May 14: Needle Felted 3D Monsters -  Experiment with different felting techniques to create a 3D monster.
  • May 21: Creative Puppet Monsters - Learn basic sewing skills and use hot glue to create a fun monster puppet.
  • May 28: Air-Dry Clay Monsters -  Play with air-dry clay and learn to build a fantastic monster to take home. 

 

JUNE: COLOURS GALORE! 

  • June 4: Under the Sea Watercolours - Achieve amazing underwater effects using wax, salt and spray bottles with watercolour.
  • June 11: Into the Forest Acrylics - Learn how to use warm and cold colours to express how a forest makes you feel.
  • June 18: Up in the Sky Pastels - From sunrises and sunsets to stormy skies and the aurora borealis, experiment with vibrant pastels and discover how to make sky scenes come to life.
  • June 25: Around Town Prints - Cities and towns have interesting buildings, bridges and lamp posts. Turn some of these basic outlines into fun prints using a variety of printing processes.
